As a proud alumnus of Don Bosco High School, Class of ’82, I am thrilled to share some exciting news with you. We are establishing the Don Bosco Trade High School, a coed vocational/trade school at the former St. Jerome’s Elementary School building in North Weymouth.
Today, there is a high demand for skilled tradespeople, be it electricians, plumbers, carpenters or HVAC specialists.
Don Bosco Trade envisions a revolutionary type of secondary education for students interested in the trades - one that will merge both a traditional, subject-based curriculum with skills that allow for high-level trade competency, directly from high school. As such, Don Bosco Trade will remain a fully integrated Catholic, college-preparatory and trade-focused high school – the only one of its kind in the area.
We have a strong network of supporters from all walks of life – alumni, trade unions, political officials and community members. Our distinctive board members comprised of Don Bosco alumni and professionals bring experience in the areas of engineering, finance, IT, education, business, marketing/communications and law demonstrating rich knowledge and ability to support our mission.
Please join us in establishing this unique coed trade high school that will provide new generations of students with the skills they need to thrive and succeed in the much-needed trade industry.
